This may occur due to hypertension, cerebral amyloid angiopathy, Drug usage, anticoagulants, antithrombotic, coagulopathies, tumors, arteriovenous malformation (AVM), and aneurysmal rupture. Bilateral thalamic hemorrhages are rare.
